You have a perfect observation platform from inside your front window, safe from the ants with a cuppa in hand image

I do hope so Kitty 2 that shed/porch was shocking. Nicely infested with massive spiders too image

It is not going to plan, the concrete digger uncovered a massive water leak which south east water failed to fix back in May and which they have now come over as an emergency to fix and next doors driveway is threatening to collapse any minute.

    What hilarious fun image

Ok end of day one and they have been hard at it for 8 hours, so the driveway collapse means we have to do things a bit differently and we'll lose a foot of our garden but we still have loads so I'm not bothered.

All the concrete has been dug up, foundations for the new steps has been dug and laid and railway sleepers have partially gone in and foundations for them dug and laid.

So although it doesn't look as if much has been done a huge amount has been done.

The water leak is fixed and the guy who came over said the last person who fixed it must have been pissed as it was very shoddy.

A picture of work so far.

I can't believe how thick the concrete was, more than 6 inches, someone really wanted concrete image Also discovered why the front kept flooding and remedied that - the overflow pipe next door had been blocked by our old breeze block wall so they have diverted it.

It could eventually have affected the foundations of our house so they have done good work today.

Day 2 and my cat Bluebell is determined to be in this picture bless her image

They said they'll be done tomorrow. In a couple of weeks I'm going to put dwarf white lavender all around the edge to soften it and bare root plant other things in winter.
