Hi iamto. As you live in Norway I would not risk planting them out over Winter. I would keep them under cover until the last risk of frosts, next Spring, has gone. I would have waited until Winter had passed before sowing the seeds.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
I sow echinacea in February, and still don't risk planting out til May/June in the following year - they take more than a year to make plants sturdy enough for the garden.
I usually lose echinacea in the winter, so this years seedlings will have their flowers removed and kept in pots in the greenhouse over winter, in an attempt to get big enough plants to survive more than a season. If that doesn't work I am giving up on them and growing something else.

I have already 2 plants that is starting to flower, i started this last year probably in late spring. But they did survive the winter even thought they was not very large at the time i planted it out in the flower bed. But i guess it is important for the plants to develope a strong root system in order to survive.
Since i have already sowed the seeds i will try to take the risk amd perhaps at least some of the plants will be strong enought to survive.
You could give it a go - save some seeds for next year if all else fails. After all, gardening is about trial and error. Where abouts in Norway are you from? I have Norwegian relatives
