It does look like that aster, doesn't it Ladybird. Not that I have any clue.
Thanks Nutcutlet...yes on my newer photos I am definitely trying to rememeber to include leaves and whole plant this - thanks for that. These photos were taken when I was just doing it for photography purposes and I was also using a depth of field lens I usually use for portraits. They are not ideal for these ID requests!

I think Number 2 is an Aster.
I think No 2 is an Erigeron

I don't think No 2 is echinacea. It looks a lot like the aster on Ladybird's label
i'm with Berghill on 2, erigeron. Don't know which one.
A few leaves and a photo that shows the whole plant is always a great help with ID
