Dove. Oh dear that looks very like the stuff.  I have just viewed some  stock photos. The form of the plant  and the ribbing on the leaves look very similar. I will attend to it right now.

I have just dug up the six plants. They are very coarse and were already putting out lots of side shoots

Many thanks.  This forum is wonderful.  image

This has appeared in my garden. I suspect it is a maize plant. There is a what seems to be a flower head at the  top but no there is no obvious maize/sweet corn head growing on the side. imageimage

The plant looks a bit like Arundo Donax, the Spanish Cane. Could be wrong, but if the spike opens up like a plume, it's very likely.

    I will watch and wait.

The last picture is probably millet.  Usually in bird seed.

Ah that could make sense. I  have had budgies for years. (Unfortunately they both died about two months ago and I am not replacing them. )

I saw this plant In the gardens around our civic centre. I like really this shrub which I think is possibly a skimmia, but I have no ideas about a variety . The plant with the flowers is the one I want to know about. Thank you.
