Please can someone identify the problem with my Japanese Maple from the photo shown. The leaves are starting to show signs of disease or insect attack

Wind scorch. My acer has the same problem they like areas of dappled shade out of full sun.try changing its position to a shaded area tjats sheltered from wind and it should be fine.
My acer has dropped alot of its damaged crispy leaves and has grown a few smaller new ones
