What is this?

We found this growing on the inside of an old plant pot we were discarding. At the time there were no flowers just the start of a wide stem ... so we replanted it and now we have a beautiful ....???

Wow that's amazing. I see one in someone's front garden i go past on my walk. I kept wondering what it was.
Fasciation is always fascinating.
Just shows that 'freaks' can be very attractive...
