My strawberries are dying

I got strawberries from my local garden store that already had strawberries on them. My cousin made a mistake and cut them down when he mowed the lawn. now my strawberry plants are starting to grow back but the look like they are dying. I've tried watering them and cleaning the weeds. I have no clue what to do and my daughter is going crazy about her strawberries, please help and give me much advice!!

Did they say what type of strawberries they were? Those plants look nothing like my strawberry plants.
1. they dont look liek strawberries.
2. also your soil looks a bit compacted you need some drainage
3. it looks like they are in a shady positoon strawberries will need sun
Hmmm I agree those certainly don't look like strawberries!
