New potatoes, mint butter, salt. My idea of heaven.
Make mint jelly to put on meat dishes in winter, use the dried leaves as a tea, great for indigestion, chew the fresh leaves and use as breath freshner, freeze in ice cubes for summer drinks, moth repellant, moths hate mint.
Thanks Lou12.............just realised I need a wife to train me in this !!
When fresh they go very well in pims!
But wives are so very expensive NewBoy even if they go to work. I just spent my husbands entire salary in the garden centre today
Dried mint is a very poor substitute for fresh mint. You can make a mint flavour liquer using vodka and mint leaves [fresh of course]. If you do, don't put too many leaves in the jar and check how strong the flavour is daily or the flavour can get too strong very quickly. Top up with more vodka after each check. Well that's my excuse.
Behave yourself Lou! Mint on strawberries.
Mint sauce, chop fresh mint mix with vinegar and bit of sugar. Hmmmmm roast lamb!
Mint and parsley stirred into couscous, to serve with spicy stews.
