Coping with drought

We have not had rain for 4 days! Have had to start watering pot plants!! How do people deal with a situation like this? 
Urgent advice needed for bewildered Mancunian.

hi invicta2 most of my stored water has gone now I have to bring 2x 20 ltrs water from home most days as I don't have water the lad next to me used to give me water but for some reason not last 5 months so gunga din it is happy times to come hopefully
