Lawnmower belt

Hi all,

I needed a new belt for my Husqvarna 216AWD mower- was a bit disappointed that this belt did not last more than 2.5 years, but, these things happen.

I needed this part:

Genuine Husqvarna Belt for Husqvarna R 13C5, R 13C, R 216/AWD, R215TX, R 220T (NA/AP) Part Number: 544 23 89-01 now superseded to P/N: 585 03 44-01

This is the mid belt, to the cutting deck.

Unfortunately, the belt was shredded and could not be measured, so I had to buy a new one at £50 delivered- which I thought was very expensive.

Now the new belt has arrived, I measured it, using the video below. 13mm wide, 1976mm long, 8mm inner width.

and then I went to see if I could find a cheaper one and I did:

Now the same belt will cost £10 delivered. I have just bought the cheaper belt and I want to see how it lasts.

My point of this message is to let folks know, manufacturer's belts are very expensive, and there are cheaper ones - but you need to know your measurements- if you do, you can save money.
