Disposing of old bone meal
Hi, I've just started a grand project of trying to reclaim my back garden, and already coming across some problems.
Having had no experience in gardening, I thought this would be the best place to seek assistance.
I've came across a big plastic container of bone meal from few years ago. Having opened it (big mistake. ), the whole stuff was turned into a thick nauseous slush.
Would there be any ways to dispose of this? Somehow I feel it would be a bit off to simply chuck it into the bin...
Many thanks in advance.

mix it well into the compost bin., a bit on each layer.
Thanks, fidgetbones.
Sadly, I do not have a compost bin... Is there anyway that I can simply dispose of it?
Flush it a bit at a time, then start afresh....
Just keep it well away from any dogs! They may try to eat it and it could well be lethal...
Maybe he could grow a cow?
Why not ?? If it is smelly and offensive why not flush it away.. Do you think it will reconstitute into a large Alligator ..

I would take it to the dump and ask them what to do. However, I strongly recommend starting a compost heap if you are going to do some reclamation work on the garden. You don't have to buy a bin, just choose an area in an out of the way place and use something to build sides - old pallets are great for this sort of thing. As you clear and tidy and mow you can make what will be invaluable for improving the soil.
