Identity help

imageCan someone please tell me what this is, it's spreading like wildfire

    It looks like a hardy geranium possibly Geranium macrorrhizum. Have you noticed any flowers - either white or pink?

    It's had pink flowers on it, I take it this will require pruning. Thanks for the response

    All you need to do is to shear it off down to ground level and it will spring up and flower again. You can remove the bits that get 'out of line'. These geraniums are very forgiving.

    It's a geranium but I don't think that's macrorrhizum,

    G. x endressii (of which there are hundreds) would be my assessment.

    Same treatment though
