What is this?
in Plants
This is a hanging plant with waxy leaves.Flowers are 8 on a stem, feel way, white outside with plank centre. It is thirsty. When I tried to cut it back it "bled" a sticky opaque white fluid.
What is it, how do I prune it, what sort of compost?

I think it is a Hoya carnosa.
It dislikes pruning.

Hoya Bella. It likes warmth, sun and a reasonable amount of water. I have mine in a hanging basket in my back porch, by a south facing window, over a radiator for winter. That way I can enjoy the little flowers hanging down and get close enough to smell them - they have a lovely sweet perfume.
I got mine from a cutting bought on ebay - much harder to find than H. carnosa, which is a bigger plant altogether. It is currently just in mpc, but I may add a proportion of John Innes as it grows larger. It doesn't get fed much. I am very bad at remembering to feed things
