Concrete and crazy paving
Help needed please. I live in a rented house so can't do anything drastic to the garden. The garden is small partly crazy paving with huge gaps in it where weeds come through constantly and partly a concrete block. I have cats so don't want to use weedkiller and need a solution to the problem.Any ideas?

If the gaps are large and you can afford to spend a few pounds, perhaps you could dig out the weeks properly and then put creeping ground cover plants in to prevent them coming back? Local garden centres will have plants going fairly cheaply for the next couple of months.
Thanks Alina that would be a great idea but the gaps aren't all large enough I think. Good thought though
Boiling water on the weeds will do the trick.
Sand or salt should also kill annual weeds, then plant up with cammomile or tyme, you probably dont want to spend a lot of money if they property is rented or low growing catnip!
Glyphosphate (Roundup) should work and you only need to keep your pet away from it until its dried, which this time of year is bout 10 minutes.
I' have a dog and use roundup on docks etc quite often.
