purple pixie hebe
in Plants
My neighbour has a very overgrown hebe she is deaf and disabled and I would like to take care of her garden but don't know if I should cut it right back or just trim it.

Thank you I will give that a try.
I trim my Hebes regularly (non-flowering branches or after flowers) and they sprout quite readily further down the stems, and I then prune back to the new growth. This keeps it in a decent shape and 'thicker'. I also feed with tomato food in the summer.
