Painting a bird bath

Hi all I was wondering what paint to use it was blackimage

    Masonry paint would be ok but don't paint the inside of the bowl as they release toxins into water. I prefer the weathered look of garden ornaments myself but that's just personal taste of course.

  • Thanks for the advice every one I think it was all black at one point I thought if I painted it like it was when new it would hold water longer but I'll leave it as it is I think

    Leave it as it is. It looks fine, just give the interior of the bowl a clean now and again, I do ours with a Scotch pad.

    You can pay "big money" to get a "weathered look."

    There's no way that I would clean up this concrete Japanese lamp I made, it looks as if it's been there for centuries.
