honeysuckle

Hello everyone, just taken a bit of honeysuckle from a honeysuckle bush and put it in  my garden in some peat then put neat rose feed round it.  Hoping it will grow across my fence.  Will this take off?

I dont find honeysuckle need much feeding.

when you say you have taken a bit, do you mean a cutting or has it got roots already?

I'd agree with fidget - don't think the neat rose food is a good idea...image

If it's a cutting, it would be best in a pot to grow on first, and it'll then make a reasonable sized plant to put in the ground  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Dear Fidgetbones and Fairygirl,

I took this cutting from a plant I already have growing in another garden of mine a farmhouse which I own.  It has no roots,  it grew before from the neat rose feed and did not need to be put in a pot and it grew into a fantastic plant over at the farmhouse so should grow here as well.  Thanks for the advice.
