I just saw the happy, recently engaged royal couple on the box, sharing their delightful news with the rest of us.
All of it joyous and fascinating, including the news that the Queen has, apparently, a breed of chickens, called Corgis, which, when they met Ms Markle, remained so unperturbed by the new person in their midst that they carried on “laying” about her “feet”.
Dovefromabove "Our espalier Concorde gave us two dozen pears like this one this year, in only its second year of fruiting. I would have thinned them but I had a broken foot and the tree got left to look after itself and did very well, thanks to the damp summer."
moral of the story: "An apple a day keeps the doctor away... but a broken foot brings lovely big pears".
