Soft fruits grown near Digitalis purpurea (foxgloves)

Good evening all.

I have a (small) crop of black currants, however, they are now situated next to a cluster of Foxgloves (which look great!).

Is it safe to eat the back currants from a bush that has grown next to foxgloves?

Thanks,

In a word, yes, completely safe.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Yes. Plants don't merge together and swap properties. Foxglove is foxglove, currants are currants

Great stuff, thank you for the quick response guys.

I have to admit, my initial thought was exactly as you say - but I had seen a few scare-mongering posts on other websites!

    Thanks again.
