Pot on gradually or straight into big pot?
Hi guys,
A while back I purchased some Black Knight Delphiniums as plugs and I potted them up in 9cm pots. The roots are now starting to show at the bottom of the pots so I transplanted them into 3 litre pots. The reason for growing in pots is they are going in the garden next year so I am growing in pots for now.
I am wondering whether I have done the right thing by going straight to a large pot or should I have potted them on gradually? Is there any reason that gardeners recommend potting on gradually?
Thanks

That's not much of a move Craigh. They'll be quite happy.
