After the pain comes the pleasure

Jacqueline29Jacqueline29 Posts: 393

I had to have an MRI scan on my wrist at the hospital. They placed my arm into the scanner, whilst shutting the scanner, they completely trapped the skin on my arm in the machine. I naturally screamed out in pain. It took three people to try and get my arm out of the scanner. Not a word of apology from any of the staff. I did say to them that an apology would surely not hurt so much as my arm is at the moment. Still nothing, anyway I eventually came home with a nicely bruised arm that I did not have previously. I went straight out into my garden with a cup of tea and took some more pictures. This helped take the pain away with a couple of pain killers as well. imageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimage

Lovely flowers. I'm guessing your arm will soon look as colourful.

How very rude of them not to offer an apology. Poor you but what complete serenity in your beautiful garden.

Oh what a gorgeous garden, I think we should stop paying to look round gardens, and open ours to other forum members, do other peoples gardens always look nicer than ones own?

Thank you all for your kind words. All of your gardens are beautiful, this is why we are on the forum, because we love to share our own gardens with others. Plus we get a lot of good help from others when we are having problem plants. It is lovely to be in contact with other people on this forum, I take great pleasure in looking at all of the beautiful pictures and wildlife photos as well. With all that is going on in our country at the moment, the garden and the plants that we have grown and cherished puts things into perspective. Nature is a wonderful thing, and we are so lucky to be able to share this with other people. Manners, kindness, understanding of others is vitally important, serenity even more so when things do not go right, like it did not for me today. image

Firstly, what wonderful pictures J29 - looks like a Chelsea winner.

Secondly, I am stunned that you didn't have an apology, and a lot of fuss, after your incident. The staff should actually be reporting that incident and if they don't their manager won't be very impressed when your complaint arrives (including a photo of your arm). Accidents may happen but the staff must deal with these with the correct procedures -  and at the very least a verbal apology and and an offer to speak to the unit manager. Poor show there.

Once again thank you all for your kind words. I have put in an official complaint and I am waiting for an apology. Not counting on getting one though, as did not get anything from before when I put in a complaint about my GP. Incompetence comes to mind, but I am a very calm person, I do not tolerate fools, and if I do not hear anything back, at least I will feel better for putting in a complaint to start with.

It will not stop me carrying on gardening and loving the flowers, that with a lot of hardwork and TLC, has brought me such pleasure, delight and comfort. They bring a smile to my face everyday and a lot of humanity.

If this was a Hospital, they presumably have a P.A.L.S, you can complain through, the english are renown for putting up with bad service and not complaining, "dont want to make a fuss", I was nursing many years, some people kick up a huge fuss, believe you me, and they usually get want they want!
