Growing cantaloupe outdoors?
I have afull grown cantaloupe plant that is started to flower. At them moment it is trellised vertically to a stem, but when the melon start to grow im afraid the plant cant take the weight anymore, so i was thinking about planting it creeping on the ground in my raised bed in the garden.
I am growing the hales best jumbo. And the temperature can get as low as 10-11 cesius at night. So the question is will a cantaloupe grow and produce in such temperatures? Any suggestion?

Where are you living iamto?
In norway, but it is at least 17-19 celsius at the day often more and the place is in full sun.
Hello iamto in Norway! I'm not sure whether your canteloupe will like the cooler night time temperatures though. Here in the UK we can only successfully grow canteloupes under glass or in a polytunnel. If you have a sunny, sheltered wall then it may grow happily there,
Ok i unfortantly only have 1 plant otherwise i would experiment with the other plant outdoors. I may do that next year. But only if the plant i have now get fruits, for now it is only male flowers to see.
