Fern ID please

Hi

Just found a fern growing by the back of my greenhouse and moved it to another position. Has anyone any idea what type it is?

Cheers

James

It may possibly be Dryopteris filix-mas but I couldn't be 100% sure

Thanks ladybird. I'll do a google on Dryopteris filix-mas and compare. I don't know how anyone can distinguish between native ferns! I love them but they all look the same to me lol.

Thanks plant pauper I think you're referring to my garden bench. If not then thanks anyway lol. It's a home-made jobby me and my old Pa made it last year out of tree support stakes. Didn't take too long and I think it looks good and rustic. Here's a better pic of it. image

Thanks. It's been hard work getting it to this stage. It was pretty much bare ground back in october!

Ha ha! Still much much more to do. I'll probably be available some time in 2035. image
