Update, the sparrow is fine but nearly had sticky end, neighbour's cat came round the corner just as i was letting it out of the box, poor bird just managed to gain some height away from the cat!
@wild edges reminded me I hadn't added Waxwing to my year-list yet. Saw about 40 of them near Bakewell today, including a small group that came down to drink from a puddle right next to us on the path. My wife did a short video of it but unfortunately without putting it on YouTube I can't show it on here.

MenaintheGarden that brickwork makes such a good backdrop, esp with the wood. Do you just leave your phone to record? I've taken my feeders down because of rats, so am vicariously enjoying yours.
