    Wonky has some of the second one - I was looking at hers yesterday and wondering whether it's a Carex? image

    BCD - I'm planning to keep mine in check with the strimmer, if the need arises image

    Good doer - puts up with almost anything. 

    I speak from experience...image

    They're very useful plants, especially as they're evergreen. They take sun or shade. Like most of their ilk, if the soil's moist they don't mind a good bit of sun. image

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    A wonderfully packaged parcel of Gardener's Garters (or as OH calls it, Monty's Braces image) has arrived and has been potted up to grow on for a few weeks before I plant it out.
