Clematis lacking tendrils
Flowery gardener says: I have a clematis that did have tendrils but I had to take the tendrils off because it was winding round everything when it was in a temporary pot. Now I have replanted it into its permanent position it hasn't produced any tendrils and has stopped growing although it looks very healthy. Has the fact that it now isn't producing tendrils the reason it's stopped growing and how can I get it to start "tendriling"? Anybody any ideas?

Everything had its growing time, as long as it's healthy it will produce new growth, even if you have to wait til next year. They're not really tendrils, just leaf stalks curling round whatever they find to curl round
In the sticks near Peterborough
Thanks nutcutlet, I didn't know they were actually leaf stalks - learn something new every day.
