Mutated leaves

Heather113 says: My friend at work told me about a tree with mutated leaves which he had seen 2 years running. He brought in a leaf to show me and I wondered if you knew what it was. The tree also had normal leaves and otherwise seems healthy.

Not mutated, rather it is the galls caused by a small wasp, bit like Oak apples on an oak tree.
nail galls on a lime tree, caused by a mite I think
