Marketmore 76 cucumber - need to pollinate?

Have anyone growed this type of cucumber and have any advice?image

As I have understood is that some cucumbers need to get pollinated by a male flower to produce fruit, and some you need to remove the male flowers because if the female flower get pollinated the cucumber will get bitter.. but does anyone know if Marketmore 76 need to get pollinated? image

Marketmore is a ridge cucumber, often  grown outside. It needs to be pollinated. Do not remove male flowers. The fruits are not as long as supermarket cucumbers and are fatter, so remove them to use as soon as they stop swelling, before they turn yellow.

Michael, what variety are you growing. ?

There are a lot of F1 all female varieties, but marketmore is open pollinated and has both male and female flowers.

When growing cucumbers are you removing the side shoots? (on mine I pinched the growing tip of the side shoot after the 2nd leaf because I read on a website that is right, but all pages says different things, so what are you doing with the side shoots?

When I have grown marketmore outside, I just let them get on with it, propping cucumbers up off the soil where possible.

In a lean to greenhouse, peppers on the shelf, cucumbers in gro-bag.
