My chilly plants have have turned yellow and almost all leaves are dropping off. Not sure if it's due to over watering or lack of water or nutrients.. also have doubt if it's kept in too much direct sunlight and that harmed the leaves. Can anyone please help me fix it. Thanks in advance!

You might want to try a bigger pot. I don't think that pot is big enough. Not sure if that's what the problem is but I'm sure others here with more experience will help.

Can you tell us a bit more about your chilli plant - how long have you had it and where does it live.

Also, I can't see a growing point - have you been pinching it out?

Did it dry out in the pot?

Janani has sent me a PM explaining that he/she lives in California.  They've had the plant for a month and it has been repotted in fresh compost.  They water it daily and feed with Epsom Salt every two weeks.

    I've replied as follows:

I think you've overdone the Epsom salts - I would only use them on a mature plant which needed a boost.

The best fertiliser for chilli plants is one sold for Tomatoes - as soon as flowers appear feed once every 10 days (diluted as instructions on the pack).

Chillies like to be kept a bit on the dry side, so daily watering is probably much too much.  Don't water until the soil an inch below the surface is dry (stick you finger in to feel).

However, I don't like the look of your plant - I can't see any growing point - it looks as if the tips have been pinched out - you'll have to be patient and wait and see if it grows any side shoots.

I would get another plant as a back up.

    Good luck.

I agree with Dove but think this plant is  too far gone and would replace it.  Chillies and sweet peppers do not need pinching out so ignore any advice which recommends doing that.

Thanks for the input guys. Think I watered the plants too much. I didn't pinch out the plants.. as the leaves got dried it looks that way. Will try to get another back up plan as you suggested.
