driverdiver says:

Hi I have made some nettle fertiliser and wondered if anyone had advice on which veg on the allotment would benefit from using it.

It's high in nitrogen so leafy plants like salads, spinach, brassicas.   For flowering and fruiting plants you need a comfrey tea.

  • thanks, will give it a try

  • If I remeber right, and I might be very wrong, but clover in grass dies away if you fertilise your lawn with nitrogen. Might be a coincedence but my back lawn has quite a bit of clover on it, the front lawn (7m away) has none but that is where The Smaller Boys potty is emptied onto (liquids only obviously) and the urine has lots of nitrogen in it.

So anyway, could be good on the lawn too.

Thanks for the idea, I have a wood full of nettles I can harvest and compost for organic clover control nexct year
