hi I was wondering if anyone knows what this lovely purple flowering plant is? I keep seeing it growing in cracks in the pavement and at the side of railways etc

i really like like it and would love some in my garden :)

Purple toadflax, some regard it as a weed, but it's welcome in my garden!

May I tag on an extra question to this thread? image

I sowed some "linaria fairy bouquet" this year, very pretty. (Multicolour toadflax?)

Will it self seed itself for next year?

should do kitty but you could collect and save some to be sure. I'm not sure how hardy those annual linaria are

Thanks nut, I've still got seed left in the packet and they were cheap as chips anyway.

Some numpty put up a 75% off sign up at wilkos when the 3for2 offer was still on last year, I'm not ashamed to say I took full advantage and hoovered up a ridiculous amount of packets for the grand sum of about £3.50.

Self seeds everywhere and tough as old boots so you'll never be rid of it!  Prefer the foliage to the flowers but one of the few weeds which stay in the garden as well as honesty & baby's tears/myob!
