    Cor, I've got shredder envy!

I hired one of those big red ones once and ignored the stuff about eye protection and gloves for about a minute ... as soon as it whipped the first branch out of my hands, I put the protective gear on.

Imagine everyone's mirth when years later I put the same stuff on to use my wee bosch shredder.  Ha ha.

There are mountains of shreddings here every year.  I need big. OH had to lower the top by about a foot so I could reach.

Being a bit of a composting nerd Nut, I'd be interested in your system.  Looking at the photos you may be nearing Council levels so interested to know how you handle such volumes.

    Hi Cloggie

Mostly it gets spread around the garden. It makes a great mulch in spring, before the ground dries out (or any time so far this summer). This lot will be spread around and behind the bamboo. Lots goes out around the trees and shrubs surrounding the meadow.

Oh I meant do you have three bays like Monty?  Or some other system?

    System. Hmm.

We had a forum member, Artjak, she had a compost master certificate. She always looked the other way when passing my heap image
