plums
I had lots of plums on my tree, but they have all fallen off. What has caused this. Thanks.

Hi Eddie. Plum trees - along with many other soft fruit trees - have a natural drop of fruits if they have too many. Sometimes lack of water can cause this drop to happen on such a catastrophic case as yours. Could that be your tree's problem?
Hi Eddie!
This isn't necessarily a straightforward question... I think we need more information.
Does the tree still look healthy, with a good covering of green leaves? A stressed tree (not enough water, too young, damaged roots or bark) will drop its fruit.
Did the plums swell at all before they fell off? What variety is it? Many plum varieties are not self fertile, and need another variety to set viable fruit. Tiny unfertilised fruitlets may form, but drop off.
Do the fallen fruit look a normal shape? What colour are they? Do they have holes in from insect damage?
Has your tree ever borne any fruit which has ripened?
