I may have acted inappropriately and may get a telling off from some but I thinned out the apple trees in the hope of allowing more air to circulate and reduce the moist, damp conditions for the fungi to survive. In doing so I noticed little flying things (probably aphids growing up) and some ants. Hopefully by reducing the sap from new growth and thinning them out I may have a half decent crop of apples xxx
Probably the best thing to do. Shame is that one can no longer buy Copper sulphate which was as good as anything for Blackspot aka Scab without being to non-organic.

The apple trees in the neighbouring land are also affected. As they are within 2-3meters of border and my trees, I think I will always be a sufferer.
