deadheading petunia
in Plants
Can I ask when deadheading petunia's do you simply pull the flower off or cut at the stem? I have a few hanging baskets and am keen to keep them looking well. Thanks in advance.

You need to nip off at the stem otherwise they will still try to seed. On the home page of this website there is a short video on how to deadhead roses. Same principle.
Do they really need deadheading? I spend ages doing my baskets and bedding but you see big baskets and displays in town centres and they never seem to get deadheaded but keep flowering.
