What a gorgeous photo. Is this a tree lily? If so, how tall is it? Just wondered.

Hiya wakeshine.  We have roughly 10 tree lily in a corner raised bed. The one in the picture is approximately 18" tall and our tallest is about 3'. The much taller ones have flower heads double the size of this one in the picture.

    Do they have much fragrance.?

My tree  lilies are not in flower yet. They have stems  like broom handles, about five foot high. When they do flower, they pump out perfume all over the garden.

Beautiful. I have some bright orange Lillies in a pot. A present from granddad that don't at all fit into the garden but are so bright you can't ignore them!

Asiatic lilies don't have much fragrance. The tree lilies that I have do, people smell them before they see them hiding at the back of the border. I have a pot full of longiflorum lilies that should be really good in about two weeks, the buds are starting to form. They are under the bedroom window, so I can smell them on hot summer nights. Remind me again, when does the monsoon season finish and summer start?

This was taken mid July last year. The ones in the pot are still growing and have buds. The others out of the batch that I planted in the garden flowered last year, but disappeared over winter.
