Ahh, you learn something every day. How fitting to grow a tumbling Tom in a tom! Also like the convex shape for providing optimum space at the top of the vase - provided it'll be stable enough in windy conditions to not break through my barrier and fall off that looks like a great solution.
Nanniemo and Marygold, if your baskets are quite flat then this tells me Tumbling Toms will also tolerate wide flat shapes so it sounds like I've got at least two viable solutions! I'll check out that vase in homebase next time I'm there and if it feels wind-worthy I'm sorted!

I'm growing tumbling Tom in a hanging basket for the first time this year and they're doing fine so far
I've grown Tumblers or Tumbling Toms in a 12 inch basket on a stand for years. They always do well. Remember to water and feed regularly.
