Small green caterpillars hanging by threads from Erysimum

My erysimum bowles mauve have developed lots of holes. There are small green lavae wriggling and hanging by threads from the plant. The lavae or caterpillar are 2mm long.
Which pest is this?

have applied Thiacloprid (Bayer Provado Ultimate Bug Killer). not sure if that is the best insecticide to use.
Some kind of moth catapillar at a guess. Personally I would not use an insecticide as i love moths.
