So. Much. Bindweed :(

    I think it's called Bindweed because it is a bind to be forever pulling it up! To prevent damaging any plants that it is trying to quietly strangle (like my lovely Astilbes!) - pull the Bindweed up at ground level and leave the twisted stem and leaves to wilt away before removing easily. 

    My garden and I live in South Wales.

    Not a scrap Lou image, maybe it's one of the positives of a tiny townie garden.

    I do get lots of dandelions, slugs and snails though so it's not all good image

    In my case it's "concrete jungle" syndrome as apart from next door and my house every garden on the street is completely block paved or flagged over out front.

    Well I do have horsetail and a gazillion dandelions so I'm not without my own nuisances image
