Salix

I planted a new salix flamingo trees in my garden in march this year,but I would like to move it to a different spot in my garden.when is the best time to do this and also will I damage it by moving it??

    Autumn, after leaf drop.   The plant will then be dormant and can concentrate on producing new roots over the winter so it's ready for a burst of leafy energy on spring.   If you do it before leaf drop it will be stressed and may fail.

    Water the roots well and leave to soak for an hour before digging it up and moving it to its new home.
