Hi, I thought this was Maidenhair Fern but pretty sure now it is't.  It is growing very vigorously this year, about to burst into little flowers which I seem to remember are whitish/yellow but not entirely sure.   Any suggestions?  Thanks

It looks to me like a Thalictrum.

Oh you might be right.  I have looked at images on google and it is similar.  thanks, it is in the wrong place but that does help me choose where to move it.  Happy to her if anyone else concurs

  • i agree with Fif2, it is Thalictrum.

Ooh thank you for asking this. I have one of these  - it is brilliant for adding to flowers in a vase!  I cut it down to the ground every autumn and it bounces back every spring - dead easy to care for.

I add it to cut flowers too but it can be quite invasive so I thin out the clumps. It was in the garden when we bought the house 48 years ago so it's indestructable.
