Useful weeds

I usually hoe down all the toadflax and feverfew that appears all over parts of my garden, but I thought I'd leave a few bits this year as border fillers. They grow quickly into substantial plants, flower quite early and I'll pull them up soon as flowering is over and fill the gaps with potted cosmos etc
The bearded iris/rhodos and forget me not's are all over and I've got a nice filler for a few weeks-

and some self-sown foxgloves-

I love them both Pete and I also keep a little scarlet pimpernel, some herb Robert, centaurea and valerian.

Thanks all for your kind words.

As I divide and take cuttings (with varying degrees of success) of my perennials I'm slowly filling in the gaps and it's nice to have some free gap-fillers, and of course saves on the weeding
