How do you get rid of pollen beetles

It is that time of year and the pollen beetles have all arrived for their summer holiday on my flowers.  Is there any way of getting rid of them - I can't bring any cut flowers into the house without getting a plague of them at the windows.  Not keen on spraying with chemicals - is there a predator of pollen beetles that I could encourage?

Pollen beetles are a real nuisance - without doing any harm to your plants - and the easiest deterrent is just to tap and shake gently any flowers you wish to take indoors. Most of them should drop out but spraying is not needed.

The RHS site suggests placing your cut flowers in a bucket of water in the shed or garage, near an open door. Apparently the beetles will be attracted by the light and will fly off in search of flowers outside.
