Flower bed - design advice

Hello,

I wanted some advice on a small flower bed at the front of my house (picture attached). As I park my car very close to it and people normally step on it, I want to put stones on it or close it down. Can I have some ideas / suggestions please?

    You could put down gravel and plant creeping thyme amongst the stones. The plants look good, have fabulous flowers that are loved by bees, and they don't mind a bit of foot traffic.

    Hmmm it is a rather tight space and I can understand why people may accidently walk on it. What is on the right of the hedge as we look at your picture?

    there is a public pathway to the right of the hedge.

    I see. Well I think that what Ceres suggested is the best solution. I had been thinking about moving the hedge but with the pathway that would not be a useful suggestion.
