Is it too late?

I just picked up some kits from homebase, they were giving them away. Just wondering is it too late? i got some chilli peppers, sweet peppers and rhubarb all in seed/root form.I  noticed alot of them say sow from april- june.

    I don't think you have time to get chillis and peppers to fruiting size. Save for next year.

    The rhubarb is perennial so grow it on and plant out. From seed to pulling sticks is three years.

    Thanks! i will save the peppers then. I also got red onion bulbs and white button mushrooms, whats your verdict on those?

    Red onion bulbs wont wait, get them in now.

    Mushrooms grow best in damp humid weather, now sounds ideal. If we have a heatwave, Autumn is the usual time.
