My sad gunnera
I have a mature gunnera growing by my pond. For the past couple of years the leaves have been covered in mildew. How should I prevent it in the future & how do I get rid of it this seaeson please?

Mildew is usually due to a lack of moisture. You may simply need to give it a good soaking if it's been dry in your area.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thank you. I'll give it a try.
Try as best you can to keep the soil around it moist.
The huge leaves evaporate a lot of water this time of year which must be replaced, if the soil is dry and the plant can't get enough water this weakens the plant and allows mildew to invade.
