I'm assuming it's a fungus fruiting body. Could you turn one over and cut one in half?
I'm assuming it's a fungus fruiting body. Could you turn one over and cut one in half? I was thinking stinkhorn of some sort. Does it smell?
Hi Chris could yours be an immature version of the mushroom in this link from google. If you look at the left hand side of your photo there are two stems that look very similar.

was a fungus thanks! dug it out and binned it
