How sad to read these answers from gardeners. Growing things from seed is fun. All those fuchsia hybrids were developed by people who didn't think it was too much trouble, they didn't occur naturally. The hybrids and varieties won't seed true but you might get something new and wonderful.
F. procumbens and other species I've tried take very little time to flower from seed. I don't grow the large flowered ones
