I wonder if some people just don't "get" that smell. Like some cats just don't react to Catnip.
Early in the blooming season there was no smell. But now that the weather has really warmed up there is the distinct odor of “old wet dog” especially when we are just sitting down for dinner on the patio not 10 ft away. It will have to be moved. Bees love it so we’ll keep it but not where we spend time. It’s too bad because it looks lovely arranged with some old roses in a tall champagne glass for a vase.
I’ve never noticed a smell with any of mine, perhaps it’s just my nose, usually notice smells though especially that stinking fungus and hedge woundwort.
