Another 'poster' on here had a similar foxglove and she added a picture of herself beside it - she couldn't even reach the top with her arm fully extended. This must be the year of the giant foxgloves!
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
My beast keeps on growing. The fence behind is six foot tall, it's way above the summer house roof too. I would guess it's around 11ft now.I love it - makes me smile every morning when I see it's grown another 6 inch through the night. The bees love too.
It was from seeds free off a magazine that I planted last year. The others are all 3-4 ft so how this monster came to be I don't know. I love seeing other people huge foxgloves and plants. You can't beat a triffid every now and again.?

For free too. I have two others that are white but the normal size.
I have one that must be eight ft high. I think it was the mild winter, letting the plant get big before sending up the flowering shoot.
